Pottery painting sessions with Arty Smarty Mobile

Paint a Plate sessions for Schools, Holiday clubs, Parent and Toddler/Baby Groups and Youth organizations

If you are an organized group of 16 or more children, we can run a special "Paint a Plate" session at your venue. This session is adaptable for any age group from parent and babies to early teens. The sessions can be tailored to fit in with particular play and learning activities, themes, the national curriculum or to stimulate creative thinking in children regardless of ability. Creating a usable piece of pottery also installs a sense of confidence and pride in producing something unique yet practical To run a session, we bring our biscuit fired pottery and special glaze paints to your venue. Then we help you create your designs using brushes stencils, hands and feet, before taking the pieces away for glazing and firing. In our experience this is a very safe activity. Mess is kept to a minimum and we only use wipe clean, non toxic, food safe glazes. Arty Smarty will ensure any mess is cleared up and taken away at the end of the session. For parents with young childen, I am able to help place their baby’s footprints on the plate. We can also wipe the paint off the plate for a second attempt if the first one smudges! A special price for organized groups of 16 or more children. A plate painting session would normally last from one and a quarter to one and a half hours and cost a special price of £6.50 per person, incl. a plate, paints, glazing and firing. A typical session would be for us to organise a group of 20 children painting a plate each. Arty Smarty will :- . Come to a venue of your choice, . Provide all the materials and pottery, . Set up and run the session . Take the pieces away for glazing and firing . Return the pieces to one specified address. Total cost = £130 Various needs and group sizes can be catered for in any venue, from nurseries, to village halls and library back rooms. All we require is tables ,chairs and a source of water.
